Sapphire Blue Publishing began in early 2008 as an independent online publisher of fiction. It publishes ebooks that are available in digital form only. The publisher does provide an ISBN for each book it accepts. It does publish reprints if the author retains the rights to the work and can prove that the rights reverted back to her after publication.
Books are purchased through the site. Buyers have the options of receiving the books as a PDF, .PRC or as HTML. They can be read with a reader or from their computer. The site forbids sharing purchased ebooks with others.
Sapphire Blue Genres
There are several genres available to Sapphire Blue writers. Not many action/adventure books have been published by this publisher, but the genre is open to writers. Inspirational books have been just as rare, but that genre is open as well. Suspense, science fiction and fantasy, young adult and chick lit book submissions are accepted.
The paranormal and romance may be what Sapphire Blue is best known for. These are the most popular genres in the Sapphire Blue book catalog. The publisher is also seeking short erotica, stories about shapeshifters, horror, books with a gay or lesbian theme and mysteries.
